Woot! Woot! One more practice and then state meet! and the practice is at 10:30 too so I get to sleep in :) Then we have our Pasta Pump Up with food and food and food and more food. I’M SO EXCITED!! I LOVE TAPER!! But there’s this one girl who applied for Zones, but she hasn’t swam 200 Free in forever or something, so (keep in mind this girl is not good at the 200 Free) SHE GETS TO TAKE SOMEONE’S SPOT ON THE 800 FREE RELAY WHO RIGHTFULLY EARNED IT WITH A FAST TIME. Tell me how that’s fair. I better still be on it. As of before this, I was the 3rd fasted on the relay so I’m guessing the 4th person will get kicked off? But that is still not fair at all. If I get kicked off, I’ll be pissed off. She should’ve earned her spot. On another note, I FINALLY GET TO DROP TIME!! I just love dropping time, if you drop time at every single meet you don’t understand. I get to taper and drop time twice a year. So this is a big event for me. I’m trying not to be nervous about making the Zone team, but hopefully that will work out. Okay bye guys. Ask me anything maybe? Thoughts?

So last week I went to the beach and missed a whole week of swimming.

I came back today and made the intervals, but they really weren’t that hard. I feel out of shape and slow. Even this girl who I ALWAYS beat was swimming faster than me. We did this fly set at the end of practice that was 8x50’s 1 cruise, 1 sprint fly. I was doing well at first, going 36’s(long course), but then I went a 37 and a 38. I contribute that to being out of shape. My mom says it’s not possible to be out of shape after a week. I disagree. I think a swimmer’s in shape is on such a different level than a regular person’s in shape. AND I have state in 2 and 1/2 weeks, and I really want to do well to qualify for Zones. Does anyone else think this way? Do you think it’s possible to be out of shape after a week?
